Is my 401k really worth it if my company only matches 2 ... - Roth Ira

Would a roth IRA/IRA/plain savings account be a better choice? I?m thinking that it would be better just to pay the tax on my 401k money(as in, stop my 401) and just add a little more to my savings account. I mean paying them to hold my money is not something i really want to do and it doesn?t seem like my money is growing.
